This question type will ask you to show your understanding of one of the key words that you have learnt. The answer should be one sentence long and contain enough information to explain what the word means.

Usually, it will ask for 2 reasons to be explained so will total 8 marks.

This can be answered in bullet points. It is a fact recollection question and will ask for you to give four answers.

This question will ask you to analyse a source. You should use information in the source but also support this with your own knowledge to help you achieve all 6 marks. 

DESCRIBE

DESCRIBE (3 marks)

This question asks you to describe a historical feature or event. Use basic facts to help you in the description. 

Example:

Describe 3 of the key symptoms of the Black Death. 

ESSAY

ESSAY (12 marks)

You need to write at least 4 paragraphs for this answer in Year 7. The essay should include an introduction, one paragraph about each discussion point (2 points will be provided) and then a conclusion.
